We’re all witnessing high prices in grocery stores, and regular fuel prices are to blame. A research done in Oklahoma confirmed this. Professor Joe Outlaw of the Texas A&M University elaborated on this subject at Grow Oklahoima Biofuels Conference.
“Prices of most products are high because of the producing process, packaging and shipping.” says Outlaw. “Eighteen percent of the whole cost is the cost of ingredients.”
To cut the shipping costs, fuel cost has to go down. Experts say that the only way is an alternative fuel source — biofuels. Outlaw prefers ethanol. “Is ethanol the answer? That’s part of the answer. There are also biodiesel, wind and solar.”
“Based on all this we can say that biofuels have a very bright future.”
