There is a new study which has shown that every utility company which needs to get twenty five percent of their total energy from renewable sources like solar & wind by the year 2025 is going to result in a lot more jobs for the people. “It is very important to create a strong standard in renewable electricity if we want to develop a stable environment for investment and help this promising sector to grow,” said the senior vice president of Iberdroa Renewables for transmission, development and policy, Don Furman. “If we do not have a strong RES then the United States wind industry is not going to be seeing any net growth in the number of jobs and are instead going to lose many of these jobs to competitors from abroad.”

The things that Furman is saying here are not new to the public eye. Obama also mentioned this same thing in his speech about the State of the Union. & there have been many articles on this particular topic everyday. Nevertheless, this newly developed study has put a few numbers into this issue & has helped in backing up the claims of Obama and Furman. In this study, it was noticed that the industry is going to be creating 274,000 under this 25% renewable standard of power which would be much more as compared what they could create without such a mandate.”

This is a lot more than the amount which would be made from the mandate which was proposed by the House of Representatives as a part of the comprehensive climate & energy bill which is still being worked on at the Senate.This type of standard is going to add at least 3 times as many jobs as that which would have been made available under a renewable power target which was to be approved by the house & a similar type of measure which is pending at the Senate, according to the study. The mandate of the House had said that only 15% of the power generated by utility companies was to be from renewable sources of energy by the year 2020.”

On the contrary to what any lawmakers or citizens believe which is that they are going to lose and other states will benefit as they do not have any solar or wind power, according to this study, each and every state is actually going to be gaining more jobs from this standard of renewable energy.
