“Energizer” has launched solar-based charging devices to power consumer electronic devices and appliances. These Energy To Go SP Solar Power Packs derives power from indoor light, AC electrical power and sunlight.
The company will launch these pocket-sized Power Packs models in the power range of 1000 mAh and 2000 mAh and it also has many USB ports which adds to its multipurpose use and can be paired with many portable devices.
According to Jim Olsen, Vice President of Marketing for Energizer in North America, with this breakthrough in technology from Energizer, it would give more freedom to the people in their busy lives from the usage of this device which provides power that is reliable, portable and convenient. These devices should turn out to be very popular and would be very much in for the year 2010.
The SP Solar Power Packs were featured at a recent exhibition at the Digital Experience and Consumer Electronics show in Las Vegas, in the range of Energizer’s Energi to Go line focussed on charging portable devices like mp3 players, mobile phones etc.
According to the exhibitor who manned the booth at the Digital Experience, the panels used power outdoors derived from the sun and indoors using lights, whether you are on the go or in your office, this solar charger can continuously chalk up its 1,000 mAh onboard cells.
